It was my first time taking newborn pictures with my new fancy lens and a lot more knowledge about my camera and lightroom. It's funny though. I have definitely fallen into the 'the more I learn, the more I know I need to learn' mindset. Some days I have a new sense of confidence with my abilities, and other days I can't stop thinking about all the things I still want to learn. That's one of the things I love about photography. What you can do with your camera and your own creativity is endless.
This session was more about capturing the moment than getting a ton of posed shots, although we certainly got some pretty cute ones if you ask me! It's important to me that a newborn session follow baby's needs first and foremost. Mr. Wesley was pretty happy to be snuggled up with mom in his special blanket so that's how we got most of our shots.
Man, is this family ever the sweetest! Wesley has two older siblings that joined in for some pictures too. There were couch snuggles and games on the bed and I even got to play with their new Frozen wand! So much fun.
